Water Resources Management Reduction Targets

The Sustainability Functional Group under the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee, consisting of Water intensity and water resource reduction results over the years, recommended water resource management reduction targets:

The water intensity in the current year is reduced by ⩾5% compared to the water intensity in the previous year.
Water Intensity: Annual Water Consumption (m3)÷ Annual Revenue (million NT dollars)
((Water intensity in the previous year)-(Water intensity in the current year))÷(Water intensity in the previous year)×100 %⩾5%


The management objectives were stated in the implementation progress report of the greenhouse gas inventory and verification schedule proposed by the board of directors on November 8 2024, and were reviewed and approved. In the future, water resources management and reduction measures will continue to be refined to ensure that water resources can be properly maintained and use.



Water Withdrawal and Water Use Intensity at BizLink in Previous Years：

With the scope of related statistics in 2023 covering all 34 production sites, BizLink withdrew 508,116 m3 of water and recorded a water use intensity of 9.95 m3 per NT$ Million throughout the year, a 5.24% decline from 2022. BizLink’s overall water use intensity continues to decline, thereby highlighting the effectiveness of our water conservation measures at all our production sites.

Note 4. Total water consumption = Consumption of groundwater, tap water, and wastewater generated by other organizations (A total of 183 m3 of rainwater and 507,933 m3 of tap water were used in 2023, resulting in a total water consumption of 508,116 m3).
Note 5. Water use intensity = Annual water consumption (m3)/ Yearly revenue of the production sites.
