Waste Management Reduction Targets
The sustainability functional group under the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee recommends waste management reduction targets based on the waste reduction results over the years:
More than 95% waste recycling rate.
Formula: Waste recycling rate = (weight of recycled waste (metric tons) / weight of total waste (metric tons)) X 100%
The management targets were stated in the implementation progress report of the GHG inventory and verification schedule proposed by the board of directors on November 8, 2024, and were reviewed and approved. Waste reduction measures will continue to be refined in the future to ensure that the waste recycling rate can achieve management targets.
Resource Recycling
In line with the international trend toward circular economy, BizLink began recording and compiling data on waste generated at our production sites in 2018, with the intention of devoting ourselves to waste reduction and recycling, thereby reducing environmental pollution and impact. BizLink continues to draw up resource recycling plans, promote the inspection of raw material procurement at all production sites, and assess the percentage of recycled materials used at our production sites. Suitable packaging materials are recycled and reused to reduce waste of resources and lower raw material costs, while non recyclable packaging materials are sorted by type of waste for the purpose of resource recycling. For example: Discarded metal parts frames in Tainan: Total weight of the metal parts, including frames: 4.375 t; total weight of the recycled discarded metal frames: 0.56 t; resulting in a recycling percentage of 12.7%. In the future, we will continue to conduct research on renewable raw materials and carry out recycling and reuse to increase the value of raw materials and reduce environmental pollution caused by waste generated from raw materials.The waste recycling rate in 2022 is 77.55%, and the waste recycling rate in 2023 is 94.15%. The recycling rate in 2023 will be 16.6% higher than that in 2022. Various measures will be gradually implemented, such as: accurate waste classification and increasing the amount of waste recycling. ....etc., in order to achieve waste recycling management goals and comply with the core value of sustainable environment.

(2)Qualified third-party units handle both general industrial waste and hazardous industrial waste for transportation and disposal. Recyclable waste, such as packaging materials, pallets, and scrap materials, can be either recycled inhouse or disposed of through outsourcing.
